Nothing good happened yesterday that I can remember.

Nothing good happened yesterday that I can remember.

Bit maybe I just need to take some time to remember.


Except that I got a nice loaner car while mine is being fixed. That's pretty good.

And I figured out how to make the difficult pieces of the online form to work, that was pretty good.

I got an email from a friend who is going to try to help with a delicate family situation. That is pretty good.

Everyone in the family seems to be healthy right now. That is pretty good

Lately meditation always seems to go well. That's pretty good. Very good, even.

I love having time to write, read, and learn a few new songs on guitar.

Everyone wants to be happy.

Everyone wants to be happy.

No one invites horrible things to happen to them selves and their loved ones consciously.

Trying to make sense of the Holocaust and the law of attraction can be confusing at first. Did all the victims ask to be tortured and to suffer in the way that they did? No one could argue that successfully.

One way to look at it might be that the world and the people in this world can do good or bad things and when we are ignorant of how powerful our own thoughts can be. And if we haven't practiced using our thoughts to develop a more positive outcome then we can collectively be pulled into this vortex of negativity and an even more negative situation can overwhelm us.

Victor Frankl, holocaust survivor and author of Man's Search for Meaning, explains:
Forces beyond your control can take away everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you respond to a situation. You cannot control what happens to you in life, but you can always control what you will feel and do about what happens to you.

Suffering?

How does it do any good to dwell on negative thoughts?

How can one ignore and brush aside the suffering of others?

Is the only way to deal with suffering by doing it on an individual level? I. E. each person deals with his or her own suffering? And there is really no way I can help you our of your suffering except by being as calm, steady, and present as I can?

Is it possible that from lifetime to lifetime you keep your own tally in that subconscious mind of all the good things and bad things you have done - The good and bad that you have done according to your own sense of morality?

Working It Out

Working It Out

I want to wake up seeing good.

I want to come quickly to see the good things all around me.

I see the benefit of focusing on good things. The more I focus on good, the easier it gets to see more good.

I am
I am here.
You are here.
We are here together.

How can any one be more deserving to be here than you and me?

How can wealth give you any more justification than simply existing?

Admission prices.
Front row seating.
First class airline ticket.
Private island vacation.
Private cruise.
Chauffeur.
Limousine
Five star restaurant.

How can I enjoy those things when I know there are others who cannot simply because of the price of admission.?

Your car is a great car. Brand new.
Other deserving people drive much much worse. Shouldn't you drive much worse till everyone can manage to drive a better one?

No, I guess I can see that my views hav certainly awarded me this opportunity. An by being deeply grateful for this car, I will bring even more opportunities like it to the front of my awareness.

I am a more do it yourself kind of person. I don't want to be pampered and isolated on a private island. I'd like to share the experience with family. But when I am clear about wanting something, I have noticed that I usually get it.

Family and friends are important.

If I don't have a clear idea about what I want, how can I expect to move in a direction that ends up where I want to go?

I am afraid.

I am afraid that if I quit this job, I won't make as much as I am paid now.

But I know that if I keep this job I won't have as much opportunity to make even more because I keep focusing on what is rather than what could be.

Dream and imagine the possibilities. Move in that direction. Build that dream. And don't worry about the money.

And there it is. And there it goes...
Fear. --> No fear. No worries.
Unworthiness. --> I am
Confusion. --> dreaming

Fear of things getting worse.
--> but then a knowing that things get better when you look for the positive.

Unworthy of getting to a better place - probably more a lack of faith in myself and a heavy reliance on the old way of looking at reality.
--> I am. Nothing can take that away. Even death? As long as I believe in the source energy.

Confusion. About what I really want. What I really want to do. What do I really enjoy creating. What do I want to show off. Why do I feel I'm not there yet.
--> relax. Look around. Dream. Create. Realize.

And we decided to just stop in here for a bit and try out this human experience thing as separate individuals experiencing unique views but having come from the exact same source

Kind of like driving down the road and deciding what to eat and you think, "Oh wouldn't it be fun for us to stop in and experience McDonald's today? You know, just for fun?"


And, wow! Look at what can happen when getting caught up in the ordering from the menu.

What's healthiest?
What's the most exciting?
What's new?
What's familiar?
What will make me feel best?
What is the best deal?
Which one satisfies my deepest need at the moment?
What can I afford?
What makes the most sense?
What will have the best long-term effect?

What made me happiest yesterday?
How can I watch what is happening so that I make some more choices in the future?

How can I slow down and be more aware so that I am truly noticing what makes me happier?

What if simply watching my choices helps me build my faith that If I choose honestly and happily then I will truly be more happy as I build that momentum??

You don't have to escape or retreat physically and go to some nebulous spiritual place.

Simply walking peacefully and breathing can be the most spiritual thing to do in any given moment.

Counting the things each day that you are truly happy have come your way.

Clothing
Shelter
Family
Opportunities
Work
Friends

Remind yourself every day how you interacted with these people or these places in a way which made you happy.

I'm so happy to be learning, and to be in an environment that allows me to learn, how things and events can all be seen in a positive light.

I am lucky to be here in this way that allows me to thrive in a growth minded community.

I am thankful that I can play and hear music that makes me feel good about myself and my life.
